October has just slipped by twenty mins ago.
But what a month! A 'financial crisis' month
globally affecting huge numbers of investors
losing equally huge amount of money, even in
Singapore especially from investments in the
Lehman Brothers'.
A reminder from the Lord in Proverbs 23:4 -5.
"Do not weary yourself to gain wealth,
Cease from your consideration of it.
When you set your eyes on it, it is gone.
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
they fly away as an eagle toward heaven."
Then in Proverbs 30:8 -9, my prayer too -
"Two things have I required of thee;
deny me them not before I die.
Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say,
Who is the Lord?
or lest I be poor,and steal, and take
the name of my God in vain.
